The top-seeded sisters blew past a 12th-seeded duo of Czech Kveta Peschke and Slovenian Katarina Srebotnik 6-2, 6-3 in Friday's final at Roland Garros. Srebotnik captured the mixed doubles title, alongside Serbian Nenad Zimonjic, here on Thursday.

When the new rankings are released next week, Serena will become only the sixth woman to hold down the No. 1 ranking in both singles and doubles.

This marks the sisters' first French Open doubles title in 11 years, and they are now 12-0 in their Grand Slam doubles finals, including a victory at the Aussie Open back in January. They captured three of the four major titles last year.

Serena and Venus will split $390,000.
